A Pierce City man was injured in a single-vehicle accident at 7 a.m. Wednesday on Missouri Highway 248, two miles west of Jenkins in Barry County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Bryske A. Blair, 19, was taken to Freeman Hospital West in Joplin.
He was driving a westbound pickup truck that ran off the road and struck a mailbox, the patrol said.
• A Joplin man was injured in a single-vehicle accident at 9:22 p.m. Tuesday on Zora Street, a mile east of Webb City in Jasper County, the state patrol said.
Terry J. Britton, 31, was taken by ambulance to Freeman Hospital West.
Britton was driving a westbound car that struck a deer and ran off the road, the patrol said.
• Three Carthage teenagers were injured in a single-vehicle accident at 6:25 p.m. Tuesday on Chapel Road, a half-mile west of Carthage in Jasper County, according to the patrol.
Taken to Freeman Hospital West in Joplin were the driver, Victor Marin, 16, and his passengers, Melvin de la Pena, 16, and Hector Marin, 14.
Their northbound pickup truck ran off the road and overturned, the patrol said.
• A 17-year-old Joplin resident was struck by a car at 5:42 p.m. Tuesday on Seventh Street near Gray Avenue, according to a Joplin Police Department report.
Charles C. Chollet was taken by ambulance to Freeman Hospital West for treatment of his injuries, the police report said.
Chollet was walking south across Seventh Street about 75 feet from a crosswalk when he was struck by an eastbound car driven by Nicole E. Vogl, 22, of Joplin, the report said.
