Joplin man tells police of robbery

JOPLIN, Mo. —

A 26-year-old man reported that he was robbed Saturday night outside an apartment complex on the south side of Joplin.

Police Cpl. Chuck Niess said Jeffrey M. Bohannon, of Joplin, was found unconscious at the foot of an outside staircase at the Tanglewood Apartments, 2525 E. 32nd St.

While Bohannon did not require medical attention, police were told that he may have been pushed down the stairs and that he was missing two cellphones that had been in his possession. The robbery report remained under investigation Monday, Niess said.
