PITTSBURG, Kan. — The Pittsburg police and fire departments responded to a report of a bomb threat at 2:07 p.m. Monday at Pittsburg High School, 1978 E. Fourth St.

Officers evacuated the building, and students were directed to the nearby Country Side Christian Church and School, per district protocol.

Police Maj. Brent Narges said authorities completed a search of the property and did not find any suspicious devices.

The incident remains under investigation. Police said anyone with information could call 620-231-1700. Callers may remain anonymous.
