Public granted opportunity to claim stolen property

The Jasper County Sheriff’s Department will be allowing people on Wednesday and Thursday of the coming week to view stolen property recovered recently in an investigation of thefts from storage units and vehicles in the Joplin, Webb City, Carl Junction and Carthage areas and to lay claim to that which belongs to them.

The hours to view the property will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day in the sheriff’s office at 231 S. Main St. in Carthage. Interested members of the public should go to the garage area on the north side of the sheriff’s office.

The recovered property is believed to have been stolen between June and December of last year.
