Teen faces charge of stealing cellphones

A 17-year-old suspect was arrested Tuesday at Northpark Mall for allegedly attempting to sell two cellphones recently stolen at the Joplin Family Y.

Cpl. Chuck Niess of the Joplin Police Department said Brittany A. Green was arrested and charged with felony theft. Court records list the date of offense as Dec. 17.

Green remained in custody Wednesday at Joplin City Jail, with her bond set at $3,500.
