Several motorists injured in accidents on roads in area

— Three residents of Pittsburg, Kan., were injured in a one-vehicle accident at 11:25 a.m. Thursday on Missouri Highway 171, two miles north of Asbury in Jasper County, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said.

The driver, Dominique A. Jackson, 18, and her passengers, Nikki K. Davis, 25, and Keiantia Wilson, 4, were taken to Via Christi Hospital in  Pittsburg, the patrol said.

The southbound car ran off the road, crashed through a fence and overturned after a tire blew out, the patrol said.

The state patrol said Plumb was attempting to make a left turn when his pickup truck was struck from behind by Crowder’s northbound pickup truck. The collision pushed Plumb’s truck into the path of Younger’s southbound car, which then collided with DeWeese’s southbound car, the patrol said.
