Another break-in in downtown Joplin probed by police

A spate of burglaries in downtown Joplin continued with a break-in overnight Tuesday at Joe Harding Inc., 302 W. Seventh St.

Someone forced open a door on the west side of the building to gain entry to the commercial food service equipment business. Police Cpl. Chuck Niess said an undisclosed amount of cash was stolen.

In recent weeks, there have been similar break-ins at the Community Clinic, Smith’s Floor & More, Intercity Florist, Instant Karma restaurant and The Cutting Edge salon.
