Man arrested, cocaine seized

The Joplin Police Department’s special weapons and tactics team assisted narcotics officers in serving a search warrant Thursday that resulted in one arrest and turned up suspected cocaine and marijuana.

The warrant was served at 320 School St. by Joplin police and agents with the Jasper County Drug Task Force.

A charge of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver was being sought against the man taken into custody. The Jasper County prosecutor’s office had yet to file the charge by Friday afternoon, according to electronic court records.
