Pittsburg Police arrest two, seize pills, 12 pounds of pot

PITTSBURG, Kan. — Police arrested two people and seized 12 pounds of marijuana and some narcotic pills while executing a search warrant Friday at a Pittsburg home.

The search warrant was served shortly before 9 a.m. at 716 S. Woodland St. and allegedly turned up an undisclosed amount of “non-prescribed prescription narcotics” in addition to the marijuana and drug paraphernalia, according to a news release from the Pittsburg Police Department.

Arturo Archuleta, 41, and Shannon S. Archuleta, 44, were taken into custody and charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of prescription narcotics, felony and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, and failure to affix a drug tax stamp.
