Authorities say undercover probe leads to charges

NEVADA, Mo. — Four suspects are facing felony drug charges as the result of an undercover buy operation conducted by the Vernon County Sheriff’s Department.

Two vehicles were stopped Monday night, and about 6 or 7 grams of methamphetamine and $700 in drug buy money were seized after an alleged drug deal in the parking lot of the Wal-Mart store in Nevada, the department said.

Sheriff Jason Mosher said three women allegedly involved in the sale were arrested and charged with distributing meth. They were identified as Meghan Tymeson, 29; Jennifer Rinker, 35; and Teresa Saunders, 34.

The sheriff said a search warrant was served after the arrests at the home of Tymeson at 502 S. West St. in Nevada, and some liquid meth and drug paraphernalia were seized. Tymeson’s child was taken into protective custody, and Lane Blankenship, 52, who also lives at the address, was arrested on charges of possession of a controlled substance and felony child endangerment.

All four suspects remained in custody Tuesday at the Vernon County Jail on $100,000 bonds pending initial court appearances.
