CARTHAGE, Mo. —
Carthage police believe a man whose body was found early Wednesday in Spring River was the victim of a homicide, according to Carthage Police Chief Greg Dagnan.
He said an autopsy of the victim will be conducted today, and the Tri-State Major Case Squad had been called to help work the case.
Though he would not offer details about how the man died, Dagnan said “it’s pretty apparent that it was a homicide.”
He said the victim was a 43-year-old Hispanic male but said officials would not identify him further until relatives were located and notified.
