Five people charged in meth raid in Joplin

JOPLIN, Mo. — Charges have been filed against five people arrested Thursday when Newton County sheriff’s deputies allegedly seized a large amount of methamphetamine at 3369 Greenwood Drive in Joplin.

Deputies served a search warrant at the address about 5:30 p.m. and took six people into custody. The Newton County prosecutor’s office had filed charges against five of the suspects on Friday.

Ricky D. Russell, 56, who resides at the address, was charged with distribution of methamphetamine. A second occupant of the address, Robbin L. Baldwin, 52, was charged with felony possession of the drug.

Elizabeth A Patton, 47, 4468 Aardvark Drive, and Amanda D. Consolver, 31, both of Joplin, and Shawn E. Moore, 51, of Quapaw, Okla., also were charged with felony possession of the drug. Moore was also charged with second-degree assault on a law enforcement officer.
