MULBERRY, Kan. — Charges are pending against suspects involved in suspected child abuse, according to Mulberry police.
The Mulberry Police Department on Sunday was notified by Crawford County dispatchers of a possible victim of child abuse who was being treated at Girard Medical Center.
The investigating officer found several chemical burns on the child’s body.
A search warrant was executed by the Southeast Kansas Drug Task Force at 202 N. Military St. in Mulberry, and evidence was sent to a Kansas Bureau of Investigation lab for analysis.
The suspects haven’t been located, and no arrests have been made, police said.
