Verona resident injured in accident in Lawrence County

A Verona resident was injured in a single-vehicle accident at 4:45 p.m. Thursday on Route K, five miles north of Aurora in Lawrence County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Wade A. Richardson, 44, was taken by ambulance to Cox Medical Center South in Springfield, the patrol said.

Richardson was driving a northbound car that ran off the road, struck a ditch and rolled onto its top, the patrol said.

• A Noel woman was injured in a single-vehicle accident at 8:20 a.m. Thursday on Missouri Highway 90, four miles east of Noel in McDonald County, the state patrol said.

Delores A. Pitts, 74, was taken to Freeman Hospital West in Joplin, the patrol said.

She was driving a westbound car that ran off the road and struck two trees, the patrol said.

• A Neosho woman suffered serious injuries in a single-vehicle accident at 1:50 a.m. Thursday on Interstate 49 just south of Neosho, the state patrol said.

Angelyn J. Ball, 58, was taken to Freeman Hospital West in Joplin, the patrol said.

She was driving a northbound vehicle that ran off the road and rolled several times, the patrol said.

• A Diamond man was injured in a single-vehicle accident at 9:45 p.m. Wednesday on County Road 120, four miles south of Carthage in Jasper County, the state patrol said.

Jessie W. Jones, 30, was taken by ambulance to Mercy McCune-Brooks Hospital in Carthage, the patrol said.

Jones allegedly was fleeing from a sheriff’s deputy when his southbound truck ran off the road and overturned, the patrol said.

• Two residents of Eagle Rock were injured in a two-vehicle accident at 12:45 p.m. Wednesday on U.S. Highway 60 at Finch Drive, about four miles west of Neosho in Newton County, the state patrol said.

One of the drivers, Peggy L. Carpenter, 54, and a passenger in the other vehicle, Patricia L. Glaston, 71, were taken to Freeman Hospital West in Joplin, the patrol said.

Carpenter was driving a westbound car and was turning left onto Finch Drive when a westbound pickup truck driven by Linda C. Puryear, 65, of Noel, collided with her car as Puryear was attempting to pass, the patrol said.
