Fire destroys mobile home; no injuries cited

CARTHAGE, Mo. — Fire officials remain uncertain as to what caused a fire Tuesday that destroyed a mobile home about four miles north of Carthage.

The Carthage, Jasper and Tri-Cities fire departments responded to a call at 5:47 p.m. reporting a fire on Maple Road and found a mobile home in flames. The fire destroyed the residence before firefighters could get it put out.

Capt. Kendall Terry of the Carthage Fire Department said no one was in the residence at the time, and no injuries were reported. Rickie Lee was listed as the owner of the property.
