Exeter resident hurt in accident in Barry County

— An Exeter resident was injured in a single-vehicle accident at 2:15 p.m. Thursday on Missouri Highway 76, two miles west of Exeter in Barry County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Kenna D. Beck, 30, was taken to Mercy Hospital in Cassville, the patrol said.

She was driving an eastbound sport utility vehicle that ran off the road and overturned, the patrol said.

• A 45-year-old man was injured in a single-vehicle accident at 1:25 p.m. Thursday on Interstate 49, a half-mile north of Pineville in McDonald County, the state patrol said.

Travis Allison, address not available, was taken by ambulance to Freeman Neosho Hospital in Neosho, the patrol said.

Allison was a passenger in a southbound car driven by Adam E. Eden, 35, of Poteau, Okla., that ran off the road and struck an embankment after hydroplaning on wet pavement, the patrol said.

• A Carl Junction teenager was injured in a single-vehicle accident at 8:05 p.m. Wednesday on County Road 240, two miles west of Oronogo in Jasper County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Tristan J. Bailey, 16, was taken by ambulance to Freeman Hospital West in Joplin, the state patrol said.

Bailey was driving a southbound pickup truck that ran off the road and struck a fence, the patrol said.

• A woman from Pittsburg, Kan., was injured in a two-vehicle accident at 4:40 p.m. Wednesday on Route JJ, five miles north of Joplin in Jasper County, the state patrol said.

Pamela A. Gum, 42, was taken to Mercy Hospital in Joplin, the patrol said.

Gum was driving a northbound car that was struck in the side by a westbound semi-truck driven by Christopher S. Dixon, 56, of Galena, Kan., when Dixon failed to stop at a stop sign, the patrol said.
