Felony drug charges were filed against four suspects in arrests made Wednesday by Joplin police.
Lisa M. Greene, 38, 428 W. 32nd St., was charged with possession of methamphetamine after a traffic stop at 8:10 a.m. near Sixth Street and Pearl Avenue for improper registration. Police Cpl. Chuck Niess said a search of Greene’s purse allegedly turned up two syringes and a bag containing meth.
Officers responding to a report of a smell of burning rubber in a neighborhood about 1:30 p.m. found an alleged meth lab inside a residence at 1802 S. Wall Ave. Niess said a search of the address turned up lab components and a syringe containing the drug. Charged with felony counts of possession and manufacturing of meth were Renee A. Borushaski, 32, and Douglas L. Borushaski, 37.
Niess said a suspicious vehicle parked in a lot of the Sunrise Inn at 3600 S. Range Line Road about 11 p.m. checked to a woman with outstanding federal warrants.
Shani C. Oliver, 45, 1928 S. Jackson Ave., was arrested on the warrants when she returned to the vehicle, he said. A felony possession charge was filed against Oliver when 16 bags of meth allegedly were discovered on her person during booking procedures at Joplin City Jail.
