Three motorists hurt in accidents on roads in area

JOPLIN, Mo. —

A Purdy resident was injured in a two-vehicle accident at 12:45 p.m. Wednesday on County Road 2180, four miles north of Pierce City in Lawrence County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Harry G. Wilkinson, 62, was taken by ambulance to St. John’s Regional Health Center in Springfield, the patrol said.

Wilkinson was a passenger in a westbound vehicle driven by Joseph W. Guinn, 33, of Stark City, that collided with a northbound car driven by Darrell L. Tabor, 34, of Mount Vernon, the patrol said.

• A Joplin man was injured in a single-vehicle accident at 3:15 a.m. Wednesday on Missouri Highway 43, three miles north of Oronogo in Jasper County, the patrol said.

Austin R. Conrow, 20, was taken to Freeman Hospital West in Joplin, the patrol said.

Conrow was driving a southbound car that ran off the road and struck a fence, the patrol said.

• A Carthage man was injured in a motorcycle accident at 9:35 p.m. Tuesday on Dutch Elm Road, two miles south of Joplin in Newton County, the state patrol said.

Garrett J. Buzzard, 20, was taken to Freeman Hospital West in Joplin, the patrol said.

Buzzard was riding a northbound motorcycle that ran off the road on a curve and overturned, the patrol said.
