Three Oklahomans injured in accident west of Sarcoxie

— Three Oklahoma residents were injured in a two-vehicle accident at 3:25 p.m. Tuesday on Missouri Highway 37, two miles west of Sarcoxie in Jasper County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The driver of one of the two pickup trucks involved, Robert E. Perkins, 60, and his passengers, Susan Perkins, 61, and Nichole Perkins, 34, all of Kellyville, Okla., were taken to Freeman Hospital West in Joplin, the state patrol said.

Their eastbound truck failed to stop at a stop sign and collided with a southbound truck driven by Adam L. Barnard, 36, of Reeds, the patrol said.

• A Nixa man was injured in a single-vehicle accident at 11:25 p.m. Monday on Route N, four miles east of Mount Vernon in Lawrence County, the state patrol said.

Mark Shinn, 31, was taken to Mercy Hospital in Springfield, the patrol said.

He was driving a northbound car that ran off the road on a curve, the patrol said.

• A Joplin woman suffered minor injuries in a single-vehicle accident at 4:15 p.m. Monday on Old Highway 71, three miles south of Joplin in Newton County, the state patrol said. Sheila D. Davis, 56, was taken to Freeman Hospital West, the patrol said.

She was riding a southbound scooter that ran off the road and struck a small tree and a fence, the patrol said.
