Nevada police arrest woman in fugitive case

NEVADA, Mo. — Nevada police on Thursday arrested an 18-year-old woman who was wanted in Kansas for violating her probation on a burglary conviction.

Carrisa Perryman, of Kansas City, Kan., was arrested in the 1000 block of West Wooter Street in Nevada and remained in custody Friday at the Vernon County Jail awaiting transport to Wyandotte County in Kansas on the probation violation warrant.

Police said a suspected controlled substance was found on Perryman’s person during the course of arrest, but no local charge had been filed pending the results of lab analysis of the substance.
