Two motorists hurt in traffic accidents on roads in area



A Webb City man was injured in a two-vehicle accident at 2:20 p.m. Monday on Missouri Highway 171 at Highway 43 at Stone’s Corner in Jasper County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Bobbie R. Andrews, 78, was taken to Freeman Hospital West in Joplin, the state patrol said.

Andrews was driving a northbound car that ran into the rear of a northbound vehicle driven by Kenneth W. Throneberry, 56, of Webb City, the patrol said.

• A Southwest City woman was injured in a two-vehicle accident at 11:45 a.m. Monday on Highway 43, seven miles north of Southwest City in McDonald County, the state patrol said.

Joelle L. Stark, 28, was taken by ambulance to Integris Grove (Okla.) Hospital, the patrol said.

Stark was driving a southbound car that crossed the centerline and collided with a northbound Mack truck driven by Charles R. Myrick, 35, of Pineville, the patrol said.
