Arkansas man faces charges of burglary, DWI

An Arkansas man is facing burglary and drunken-driving charges in connection with an incident Sunday night on Civil War Road near Carthage.

The Jasper County Sheriff’s Department said Joshua S. Bullard, 34, of Bryant, Ark., was arrested after allegedly entering a residence without the homeowner’s permission and taking food and drink.

Bullard drove to the residence with a 15-year-old male in his vehicle. The juvenile told deputies that Bullard was drinking and almost crashed several times. At the address, Bullard allegedly shoved the juvenile down when he tried to stop him from breaking into the residence. The homeowner subsequently returned and told him to leave, but he refused and kicked the homeowner when he tried to make him leave, the Sheriff’s Department said.

Bullard was charged with first-degree burglary and driving while intoxicated.
