Two motorists hurt in traffic accidents on roads in area



A Cassville woman was injured in a two-vehicle accident at 9:15 a.m. Tuesday on County Road 1110, three miles south of Cassville in Barry County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Nancy J. Gauss, 56, was taken to Mercy Hospital Cassville, the state patrol said.

Gauss was driving a northbound car that crossed the center line of the highway and collided head-on with a southbound pickup truck driven by Clinton L. Hoppes, 25, of Washburn, the patrol said.

• A resident of Nevada, Mo., was injured in a single-vehicle accident at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday on Missouri Highway 43, eight miles south of Lamar in Barton County, the state patrol said.

Pamela R. Harth, 62, was taken by ambulance to Nevada Regional Medical Center, the patrol said.

Harth was driving a southbound Dodge Durango that ran off the road and overturned when she fell asleep at the wheel, the patrol said.
