Skye Reece convicted of first-degree murder, to get life in prison with possibility of parole

MIAMI, Okla. — An Ottawa County jury this morning returned with a verdict of guilty in the first-degree murder trial of Skye Reece, 20, of Quapaw. The jury recommended a life sentence with the possibility of parole for Reece, according to the prosecutor’s office.

Reece was found guilty of killing 17-month-old Lanceton Hollenbeck on Feb. 11, 2011. She was living with the child’s father at the time. He was at work at the time of Hollenbeck’s death.

Formal sentencing is set for Jan. 17.
