PITTSBURG, Kan. — A 21-year-old man is being held on charges related to recent break-ins at units of a storage business in Pittsburg.
The Pittsburg Police Department said an officer stopped a vehicle Wednesday near Fourth Street and Georgia Avenue, and arrested Cody W. Spurgeon.
The arrest stemmed from an investigation of burglaries committed Sunday at Countryside Self Storage at 105 N. Elm St. in Pittsburg. Four units were broken into, and a washer, dryer and antique sculpture were stolen, police said.
Spurgeon was being held Thursday at the Crawford County Jail on four counts of burglary, four counts of theft and four counts of criminal damage.
