Franklin woman hurt in accident on road in Girard



A 40-year-old woman was injured in a single-vehicle accident at 2:51 p.m. Monday on Highway 47 in Girard, according to the Crawford County (Kan.) Sheriff’s Department.

Christy L. Swor, of Franklin, Kan., was taken to an unspecified hospital, the Sheriff’s Department said.

Swor was driving an eastbound car that ran off the road into a ditch and struck a culvert, becoming airborne before landing and rolling onto its top, authorities said.
