Aurora woman hurt in accident on county road



A 30-year-old woman was injured in a single-vehicle accident at 1:20 p.m. Wednesday on County Road 1210, two miles south of Aurora in Lawrence County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Emily K. Ireland, of Aurora, was taken to Mercy Hospital Springfield, the patrol said.

She was driving a southbound car that ran off the road, struck an embankment and overturned, the patrol said.

• A Pierce City woman was injured in a single-vehicle accident at 11:35 a.m. Wednesday on Missouri Highway 37, a mile north of Purdy in Barry County, the state patrol said.

Elicia M. Wiggins, 36, was taken to Cox Monett Hospital, the patrol said.

Wiggins was driving a northbound van that ran off the road, crashed through two fences and struck a tree, the patrol said.

• An Aurora woman suffered serious injuries in a single-vehicle accident at 5:45 a.m. Tuesday on Farm Road 2190, a mile north of Aurora in Lawrence County, the state patrol said.

Brittany N. Garrett, 27, was taken to Mercy Hospital Springfield, the patrol said.

She was driving a westbound car that ran off the road, and struck a fence and two trees.
