GRANBY, Mo. — Two men were arrested Tuesday at a home where Newton County authorities said investigators found “a very large meth lab.”

Sheriff’s deputies served a search warrant at 21691 Route J, Granby, and arrested Paul T. Kyger, 56, who lives at the address, and Ronnie P. Christy, 35, of Monett.

“They found a very large meth lab and lots of components in the house, and another lab in the storm shelter out back,” said Chris Jennings, chief deputy with the Sheriff’s Department.

In addition to the lab and components, Jennings said, deputies seized about 5 grams of methamphetamine.

The men face identical charges of manufacturing and possession of a controlled substance.

The two were being held at the Newton County Jail on bonds of $100,000 each, Jennings said.
