11-year-old boy dies of injuries after accident

An 11-year-old boy from Anderson was killed and three other people injured in a single-vehicle accident at 7:49 a.m. Friday on Route NN, one mile east of Anderson in McDonald County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Aaron N. Schuler, who was a passenger in the pickup truck involved, was flown by medical helicopter to Freeman Hospital West, where he was pronounced dead at 9 a.m., the state patrol said. The driver, Barbara S. Schuler, 63, of Anderson, suffered serious injuries and was flown by helicopter to the same hospital, the patrol said.

Two other passengers, Kya S. Baisch, 9, and Nolan C. Baisch, 12, also both of Anderson, were taken by ambulance to Freeman Hospital West with minor injuries.

Their westbound pickup truck ran off the road, struck a ditch and overturned, the patrol said.

• Two people were injured in a single-car accident at 6 p.m. Thursday on Missouri Highway 76, a mile north of Ridgeley in Barry County, the state patrol said.

The driver of the vehicle, Katrina M. Perez, 26, of Noel, was taken to Mercy Hospital in Springfield with serious injuries, the patrol said. Her passenger, McKelly L. Harris, 49, of Seligman, was taken to Cox Medical Center South in Springfield with moderate injuries.

Their eastbound car ran off the road and rolled onto its top, the patrol said.
