Woman tells police of sexual assault; no arrest so far

A 28-year-old woman reported being sexually assaulted by a male acquaintance Thursday night inside her home on the southwest side of Joplin.

A police officer took the woman to Freeman Hospital West to have a rape kit done.

Police Lt. Charla Geller said the case remained under investigation Friday without an arrest having been made as yet.
