Deputies arrest Coffeyville man in truck theft

COLUMBUS, Kan. — Cherokee County sheriff’s deputies arrested a Coffeyville man Friday in alleged possession of a vehicle stolen in the northwest part of the county.

The owner of the 2011 Ford truck followed the suspect and helped deputies locate him and the truck near Northwest 70th Street and Star Valley Road.

Kendall L. Elias, 27, was arrested on suspicion of felony theft and driving while revoked. He was being held at the Cherokee County Jail in lieu of $8,500 bond.
