Worker hit in head with saw blade at construction site

A worker at a construction site in Webb City suffered a severe injury Wednesday when he was struck in the head by a blade from a power saw.

The accident took place about 2 p.m. at a property where a duplex is under construction in the 1400 block of West Fountain Street. The injured worker was taken by ambulance to Freeman Hospital West, according to the Webb City Fire Department.

No other information about the accident was available Wednesday afternoon.
