Pittsburg police investigate armed robbery at South Short Stop

PITTSBURG, Kan. — Pittsburg police responded to an armed robbery at 1:29 a.m. today at the South Short Stop, 1307 S. Broadway.

The clerk reported that a black male entered the business, brandished a handgun and demanded money. The suspect was given an undisclosed amount of cash and left the store traveling southbound on foot.

The clerk was not injured.

The suspect is described as a black male, 6-feet tall, weighing 200 to 250 pounds with an athletic build, wearing a blue T-shirt pulled up over his head, with short hair.
