Miami resident hurt in accident in McDonald County

A resident of Miami, Okla., was injured in a single-vehicle accident at 8:45 a.m. Friday on Missouri Highway 43, three miles north of Southwest City in McDonald County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Tracie M. Black, 39, was taken by ambulance to Grove Integris Hospital in Grove, Okla., the state patrol said.

Black was driving a southbound car that skidded off the road and struck a fence, the patrol said.

• A Neosho man was injured in a three-vehicle accident at 2:28 p.m. Wednesday on Range Line Road near 48th Street, according to a Joplin Police Department report.

Robert A. Hobbs, 23, was taken to Freeman Hospital West, the police report said.

Hobbs was driving a northbound car that ran into the rear of a northbound vehicle driven by Abby R. Raum, 26, of Saginaw, as Raum was stopped for a vehicle in front of her that was making a left turn, the report said. The collision knocked Raum’s vehicle into the southbound lane where it collided with a vehicle driven by James L. Collins, 22, of Commerce, Okla., the report said.
