Survivors of fires in Neosho, Noel remain hospitalized

Survivors of two fatal fires in Southwest Missouri last week remained hospitalized Saturday night at Mercy Hospital Springfield.

Sandra Lane, 4, was listed as being in critical condition in the intensive-care unit. She was injured in an early morning fire Wednesday in her trailer home near Palm and Kingsland roads, southwest of Neosho. The blaze killed her brother, Liam Lane, 7.

Domingko Nennis, of Noel, was listed as being in fair condition in the hospital’s burn unit. Nennis was injured Monday while trying to rescue his stepdaughter, Lyse Dopsish, 5, from a fire in their apartment south of Noel on Highway 59. The girl died from her injuries.
