Joplin man hurt in cycle accident north of Seneca

A Joplin man suffered serious injuries in a motorcycle accident at 4:05 a.m. Thursday on Missouri Highway 43, two miles north of Seneca in Newton County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Michael E. Mills, 53, was taken by ambulance to Freeman Hospital West, the state patrol said.

Mills was riding a northbound motorcycle that overturned and slid off the roadway, the patrol said.
