Four face charges involving drugs after traffic stops

— Four people are facing felony drug charges as a consequence of traffic stops conducted Monday by Joplin police.

Bobby G. Elliott, 28, and Alyssa B. White, 19, both of Joplin, were charged with felony possession of methamphetamine following a traffic stop at 2:39 a.m. for an improper turn near Fourth Street and Monroe Avenue.

James D. Pickel, 54, and Karen Davis, 52, both of Joplin, were charged with felony possession of a controlled substance as a result of a traffic stop at 11:51 p.m. near the intersection of 32nd Street and Schifferdecker Avenue.

A police report alleges that methamphetamine was found on the floorboard of the vehicle and more meth and some hydrocodone pills were found on the person of Davis during booking steps at Joplin City Jail.
