Fire destroys mobile home; no injuries cited

NEOSHO, Mo. — A Monday night fire that destroyed a vacant mobile home north of Neosho remained under investigation Tuesday.

The Neosho Fire Department responded at 10:59 p.m. to a call reporting a fire on Kelley Lane and found a single-wide trailer home in flames.

Battalion Chief Brad Morris said the residence was destroyed by the time firefighters got the blaze extinguished. The residence was unoccupied, and no injuries were reported, Morris said.

A state fire investigator has yet to determine the cause of the fire, which was being treated as suspicious, according to Morris.
