Joplin police say a gunman who early Friday morning robbed the Fastrip convenience store at 1902 E. 32nd St. might have been the same man who robbed the store on March 3.
The man entered the store at 1:38 a.m. wearing a devil’s mask, a light purple pullover, jeans and black boots, and displaying a handgun, according to Cpl. Chuck Niess.
Like the last man to rob the store, he stole whiskey and cigarettes as well as cash from the store’s register, Niess said. The suspect was described as about 5 feet 6 inches or 5 feet 7 inches tall.
The robbery remained under investigation later in the day without any arrest having been made.
