Duenweg man accused of sexually exploiting a child

A Duenweg man has been charged in federal court with sexually exploiting a 4-year-old child to produce pornographic images.

The criminal complaint against Tony Lasiter, 31, was filed Thursday in U.S. District Court in Springfield.

A probable-cause affidavit filed with the complaint alleges that Lasiter used a cellphone to take nude photos of a 4-year-old girl.

The defendant subsequently downloaded the photos to a laptop computer and transferred them to a digital memory card, according to the affidavit. The girl’s father noticed the card in the computer on Wednesday and opened the files, the affidavit states.

Law enforcement was contacted at that point, and the case was investigated by Duenweg and Sarcoxie police, the Jasper County Sheriff’s Department, the Southwest Missouri Cyber Crimes Task Force, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, and Homeland Security Investigations.
