JOPLIN, Mo. —
Charges are pending in a shooting that occurred Sunday and the victim remains in critical condition at Freeman Hospital West.
Keith Ritchey, 23, was found by Joplin police in the 800 block of Connor Avenue shortly after 1 p.m. Sunday. He was bleeding from the mouth and had an apparent gunshot wound.
Kevin Cassell, 50, 725 S. Connor Ave., was taken into custody a short time after the shooting. Charges were being sought against him at noon today.
