PITTSBURG, Kan. — A shooting victim who authorities say falsely identified himself last week has been identified, according to Pittsburg police.
The shooting victim is Ronal Rothal Wright, 21, of Pittsburg, police said Friday.
He was shot in the leg during an incident at 4:26 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 8, in front of Casey’s General Store, 612 S. Broadway.
Wright, who was treated at Via Christi Hospital in Pittsburg, had identified himself as Trent Cobb, 22, of Kansas City. Police did not provide an explanation as to why Wright had used a false name.
Police said the investigation into the shooting is continuing and that investigators have developed a suspect in the case. An arrest warrant is being sought, police said.
