Joplin woman hurt in traffic accident in Airport Drive



A Joplin woman was injured in a two-vehicle accident at 1:17 p.m. Tuesday in Airport Drive Village in Jasper County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Karen D. Barlett, 35, was taken by ambulance to Freeman Hospital West in Joplin, the state patrol said.

Barlett was a passenger in a van driven by Sarah D. Edgar, 32, of Joplin, that collided with a vehicle driven by Vicki J. Cassady, 61, of Carl Junction, as Edgar was pulling into a private drive, the patrol said.

• A Neosho man was injured in a single-vehicle accident at 4:15 a.m. Tuesday on Inca Lane, south of Neosho in Newton County, the state patrol said.

James P. Rigdon, 32, was taken to Freeman Neosho Hospital , the patrol said.

He was driving a southbound car that ran off the road on a curve and struck a utility pole, the patrol said.

• A teenager was injured in a two-vehicle accident at 6:35 p.m. Monday on Hammer Road, a mile north of Neosho in Newton County, the state patrol said.

Lexie S. Morris, 18, of Neosho, was taken to Freeman Hospital West in Joplin, the patrol said.

Morris was driving a northbound car that collided with a westbound pickup truck driven by Kenneth D. Hillyard, 49, of Blue Springs, when Hillyard pulled into her path, the patrol said.
