A Springfield man was injured in a two-vehicle accident at 1:15 p.m. Wednesday on Missouri Highway 37, two miles west of Monett in Lawrence County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Brian P. Robinson, 40, was taken to Mercy Hospital Aurora, the patrol said.
Robinson was driving a northbound car and pulled into the path of a westbound pickup truck driven by Jesse L. Blades, 34, of Monett, the patrol said.
• An Oklahoma woman and an infant from Joplin suffered minor injuries in a single-vehicle accident at 11:45 a.m. Wednesday on Missouri Highway 43, five miles south of Joplin in Newton County, the state patrol said.
Linda J. Orcutt, 68, of Miami, Okla., and her passenger, Jackson O’Banion, were taken to Freeman Hospital West in Joplin, the state patrol said.
The southbound pickup truck ran off the road, crashed through a fence and struck a tree, the patrol said.
• A woman from Aurora was injured in a single-vehicle accident at 5:44 a.m. Wednesday on U.S. Highway 60, a mile east of Granby in Newton County, the state patrol said.
Anna M. Cochrane, 30, was taken by ambulance to Freeman Hospital West in Joplin, the patrol said.
Cochrane was driving a westbound car that ran off the road and overturned when she swerved to avoid an animal in the roadway, the patrol said.
• A Carthage man was injured in a three-vehicle accident at 3:32 p.m. Monday on Range Line Road at 15th Street, according to a Joplin police report.
Chris E. Triplett, 46, was taken by ambulance to an unspecified hospital, the report said.
Triplett was driving a northbound vehicle that was struck in the rear by a car driven by Anna Cahya B. Meaker, 34, of Webb City, as Triplett was stopped in traffic, the report said. The crash pushed Triplett’s vehicle into the rear of another stopped car. The latter was driven by Glenda S. Shoemaker, 49, of Galena, Kan.
