Rail service from OKC to Tulsa to be studied

From The Associated Press

OKLAHOMA CITY — Three public meetings have been scheduled as part of a study into creating passenger rail service connecting Oklahoma City and Tulsa.

The Oklahoma Department of Transportation worked with the Federal Railroad Administration to start the Tulsa-Oklahoma City Passenger Rail Corridor Investment Plan to evaluate how passenger rail could improve inter-city connections between Oklahoma’s two largest cities.

The public meetings will be Aug. 13 at Tulsa Community College; Aug. 14 at Stroud High School; and Aug. 15 on the Metrotech Springlake Campus in Oklahoma City.
