Pitt State hosts Career Day Wednesday

PITTSBURG, Kan. — When Pittsburg State University’s Office of Career Services had to cancel its Spring Career Day because of snow, officials worried that many companies wouldn’t return for a rescheduled event. But as of Tuesday, more than 80 companies had signed up for Spring Career Day, which runs from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Wednesday, March 13, in the Crimson and Gold Ballroom of the Overman Student Center.

Mindy Cloninger, director of the Office of Career Services, said she believes the strong response reflects both an improving job market nationally and employers’ high regard for PSU graduates.

At Spring Career Day, students learn about job and internship opportunities, share contact information and open doors that can lead to employment.
