New opioid treatment center opens in Joplin

Behavioral Health Group, a Dallas, Texas-based substance abuse treatment provider, has opened an opioid treatment center in Joplin, according to a release.

The center is at 2700 S. Cunningham Ave., Suite 107.

“We selected this particular location for several reasons, not least of which are its proximity to local health care resources and its convenience for prospective patients,” Andrew Love, chairman and CEO of Behavioral Health Group, said in a statement.

Opioid addiction is a chronic and progressive medical disease, according to the release from Behavioral Health Group.
