Shawn, I believe you had better read your Bible a little closer before you start criticizing Rita Crowell. Voices: Unrepentant sin I am responding to Shawn Sparlin’s “Family values,” (Globe, April 18).
Shawn, I believe you had better read your Bible a little closer before you start criticizing Rita Crowell. Matthew 10:37 says: “Anyone who loves his father or mother more than me is not worthy of ...” but go on and read the rest of that chapter. What Jesus is really saying is that some in families will desire to serve Jesus and someone else in the family will desire to serve Satan, thus the family will be divided. Let me tell you what the Bible says about homosexuality. I quote from 1 Corinthians 6:9-10, “Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither the immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor sexual perverts, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor robbers will inherit the kingdom of God.” God will not tolerate unrepentant sin. If these that I have referred to will repent of these sins, accept Jesus as their personal savior, and change their lifestyle, then they have hope of eternal life. Jesus Christ is the only hope of eternal life we have. Charles Cecil Aurora
