Voices: The ‘11th commandment’

Upon reading the letters from Rita Crowell, it seems that she is filled with hatred toward homosexuals and their lifestyle. I have no idea what could have happened during her life that made her this way.
Make no mistake. I, too, believe that homosexuality is a grave sin as stated in the Bible. But, so is hatred toward another human (Leviticus 19:17-18).
As a matter of fact, Leviticus 20 spells out the death penalty for homosexuality, as well as cursing your parents, bestiality and adultery. Fortune tellers and mediums are to be stoned to death as well.
This is all in the Old Testament, which Ms. Crowell seems to be stuck on. She needs to read the New Testament as well. There are a lot of changes from the laws that God gave Moses. The most important has been referred to as the “11th commandment.” John 13: 34-35. “Love one another. All people will know you are my followers if you love each other.”
I prefer that concept over hatred.
