Voices: Women on the front lines
Women on the front lines, whose idea was that? Women or the men? I think that women should stay home and take care of their homes and children. War is too dangerous for women. If they get captured, they can get raped, tortured and much worse. I think they should take all women off the front lines and send them home! War is no place for women.
I might be a bit old-fashioned, but the front lines is no place for women to be. Even if they are mentally and physically able to do the work, it’s not right. Are the women of this world trying too hard to be in the man’s part of society still? Are we still burning our bras and protesting because we can’t get our own ways? It sure sounds and looks like it. I am a woman and I do know that this is the 21st century, but this isn’t the movies. People don’t get up off of the ground after being shot and walk away when the scene is over. War really kills and does not respect people. It has been that way for thousands of years.
I wonder how the children of the military women feel when Mommy leaves and doesn’t come home or is a basket case when she does come home. Women can’t handle the stress of war. Why has America finally given in to our whining and complaining? I guess we have done too much of it over the years. I don’t know how many women are on the front lines in this disgusting war we are in and shouldn’t be in in the first place, but they should all be sent home without a minute to spare. Children need their mothers! If you, America, feel for our future and our children’s future, do this one little thing. I care, I hope America cares.
